Labrador Stud Service from Bench and Field Champion Lines and Quality Labrador puppies

Dedicated to Producing High Quality, Good-Looking Working and Family Dogs that are Easy to Train and Enjoyable to Have Living in Your Home.

We provide high quality Labrador stud service, puppies, and often have older puppies or dogs available. Located among walnut orchards and vineyards north of San Francisco, Caerleon has been providing Labrador stud service, showing, and competing hunting dogs since 1987. Our dogs are bench champions, junior, senior, and master hunters, competitors in field trials, hunting companions, obedience champions, and most importantly, good family members.  All of our breeding stock is AKC registered and has OFA hip/elbow certificates, eye clearances, and heart clearances, as necessary. Our puppies are vet checked and microchipped prior to going to their new homes, and come with a written guarantee to be free of inherited defects. At Caerleon, we take matching puppies to people seriously and will help you make the best selection for your needs. Our commitment to you and your dog doesn't stop when you take your new puppy or dog home, we are there to help you throughout the life of your dog.

Caerleon Labradors started with the purchase of our first purebred Labrador - a lovely black female out of Hiwood Kennel. She started our passion for the breed and for breeding, training, competing and hunting and with our Labradors. In 1990, I purchased what became my first bench champion, CH Braemar Morgaine O'Caerleon.   This set the tone for our breeding program, which has both "bench" (or English), Caerleons Crystal Cave and Caerleons Tangled Wood, and "field"  (American), Siskiyou's Nothin But Smoke MH stock as we strive to keep the good looks and companionability in working dogs and the ability to hunt in our show dogs. I strongly feel that Labradors should fit the standard for our breed - soundness is a must and you can never compromise on temperament.

Our litters are planned with much thought and care and we carefully select homes for our babies.   All our puppies are born and raised in the house until approximately 4 weeks of age when they move out to the "puppy barn". They are routinely handled as babies and we typically play a variety of music for them to expose them to various sounds. They are well socialized, temperament tested, exposed to live birds, and have been handled and played with by our children.

Ron and I are both avid hunters - both waterfowl and upland game. This led us to competing with our dogs in hunting events. Ron started out competing in an organization called NAHRA, the North American Hunting Retriever Assoc., where he finished numerous titles including a Master Hunting Retriever and routinely judged weekend and regional events, and judged the Richard A. Wolters Invitational event. I started out in the AKC Hunt Test Program, where I have finished numerous Junior and Senior Hunters, and several Master Hunters. I also judge hunt tests around the country and was judged the 2005 Master National - the highest honor for a Hunt Test judge and a truly wonderful experience.
